Rhulani Insights 248 – Africa Safe-T's ambulance

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge

Today is a training day in Rhulani and we are falling into the annual first aid training that all our employees complete and which is run by our partner Africa Safe-T. But today we will also show you something else, namely what emergency medical care you as a guest can count on during a stay in Rhulani, and all at no extra cost.

We must be part of the general staff at the inception, rather than the ambulance drivers at the bitter end.

- Layne Kirkland, American activist

So let’s have a chat with Frikkie from Africa Safe-T, and let him tell you about all the different services that Africa Safe-T offers in terms of training to our staff and medical care for the benefit of our guests. We take a look at the ambulance and the equipment that Frikkie carries with him to provide first aid.

A safari should be a risk-free and relaxing experience, but since you are relatively far away from larger cities and access to medical care, it is good to know that our good partner Africa Safe-T is close by.

Stay tuned for the next episode on 20 April when we talk about the "Foxglove", a flower that we find very rarely and only in the rainy season.
