Rhulani Insights 238 - We talk about the leopard sculpture
Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.
Today we show you our impressive new sculpture in the entrance area, the life-sized leopard climbing down from the tree, and we talk about this masterpiece with its creator, the artist Michael Cañadas.
It took several months from the moment of the idea to the installation, but now the artwork is here.
Sculpture is the art of the intelligence.
Michael Cañadas says that he managed to build a connection to the work while he was working on it, but not everything was planned as in the end the sculpture comes out on its own. Well said. We are all now proud of the result and we are all delighted with how well it turned out.
Let's also talk about the fantastic facial expression of the leopard, which even surprised the artist, and let's also talk about some technical details about this bronze sculpture with its stainless steel base.
The congratulations and thanks in this blog go entirely to Michael Cañadas.
Stay tuned for the next episode on 1 December when we drive into a swarm of flying termites.
