Did you know that when a lion encounters a scent of interest, particularly urine of another lion, it performs the Flehmen response to gather more detailed information? Rhulani’s Head Guide Alasdair shows us a sighting today where a lioness show us this typical smile for several seconds, where she curls back the upper lip, exposing the front teeth, and inhales deeply.
