Did you know that an elephant's foot has a very soft padding like a cushion which allows it to walk quietly through the savannah? Rhulani's head guide Alasdair tells us today about an elephant that he found with a cut on the foot, which it immediately tried to heal itself with fine sand... self-medication, so to speak.
