Christmas Party: This day belonged to Rhulani's staff

- News, Staff

Pre-Christmas party! This one day of the year belongs entirely to the employees of Rhulani. It's the day when we say goodbye to our last guest at 11 a.m., do the final clean-up work, and then close the lodge for the day and get ready for the party. Last Sunday it happened again. There was a lot of laughter, eating, celebrating and drinking. Until late at night.

Rhulani has a fantastic team, but the long working hours and constant pressure don't often make it possible to maintain friendship and team spirit outside of the work environment.

It was a great moment for everyone when we got on the bus and head outside to spend time together at a cool party spot somewhere outside of the usual Rhulani surroundings.

Given the ongoing heat wave in South Africa, it was a good choice that the location had a swimming pool, which is where our team spent most of its time.

South Africa is not only the reigning rugby world champion, but also the world champion when it comes to organizing a great barbecue evening (called "braai" here). Our kitchen surprised us all again with a masterpiece.

There were small Christmas presents for the whole team and of course enough to drink. As we ended up spending the night here, the walk from the bar to bed wasn't that far, although it was still a challenge for some to find the way.

The next morning we were back at Rhulani to say “hello” to our arriving guests. A little tired perhaps, but more importantly, in an excellent mood and with a smile. The party strengthened our team spirit and we are now starting the Christmas season with charged batteries.
