A warm welcome to Shade-Leigh and Sean at Rhulani Safari Lodge

- News, Accommodation, Staff

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Shade-Leigh Wepener and Sean Townsend to the management team of Rhulani Safari Lodge. Both have many years of successful experience in the safari business and are well-known in the Madikwe Game Reserve. Accompanied by the joy of our guests as well as the employees, we are opening now a new chapter in Rhulani’s story.

In the early years of her career, Shade-Leigh laid a solid foundation in the hotel industry, particularly by doing different front-of-house activities. Since 2018 she has been responsible as manager in a neighboring lodge and thus brings with her the necessary managerial skills and local awareness. In addition to the solid knowledge of all departments and their interaction, Shade-Leigh brings warmth and serenity with her calm manner, which guests appreciate and which is definitely an advantage for a good performance in the African bush.

Her partner Sean is a familiar face at Rhulani. His return has been greeted with immense joy on all levels. In the past, Sean has shown hundreds of guests the beauties of the African bush as a field guide for seven years, proving he is arguably one of the finest rangers you could find in South Africa. In his new role, Sean, in the role of Assistant Manager and Duty Manager, will primarily ensure that the lodge always shines in its best light and that the quality standards that we have agreed upon are lived out every day.

We extend a warm welcome to Shade-Leigh and Sean and we wish them both an exciting, happy and prosperous time at Rhulani.
