Rhulani Insights 221 – Safari in the rain

  • March 24, 2024 | Rhulani Safari Lodge

Look behind the scenes of Rhulani Safari Lodge.

Safaris are known to take place outdoors, and as a result we can encounter all sorts of weather conditions. The sun shines most of the time in South Africa and not a drop of rain falls for many months. But it can happen that you get caught in a real storm.

Today's blog with Rolf and Thato is dedicated to the "Safari in the Rain". Because the vehicle is open on all sides, you can get pretty wet, although of course we always have ponchos on board to protect you from the rain.

The roads in the bush are earthy and become slippery, even adventurous, when it rains. It is more difficult to find the animals, as they are hiding in the bushes, but it is still an unforgettable experience.

Stay tuned fort the next episode on 24 March when we get caught in a thunderstorm on safari.

“I get my best ideas in a thunderstorm. I have the power and majesty of nature on my side.” – Ralph Steadman, British Cartoonist

Stay tuned fort the next episode on 7 April when Dean shows us a Sausage Tree in the lodge.
